Amul Star Voice of India Update - Saturday, 30th June 2007

Episode starts, Aadesha is playing drums along with the Orchestra and Ishmeet, Sumtra and Arvind are singing Chali Chali from Baghbaan, they are dacing too.

Shaan arrives on the stage and announces the start of today's episode.

Today's contestants are Vipul, Abhilasha, Amitabh, Aditi, Prantik and Dipin. Bottom three shall be eliminated.

First contestant to come on stage is Aditi, she sings "Aaj ki raat koi aane ko hai (movie?)", extremely well sung. The judges seem to be enjoying her performances...

Abhijeet - 9
Lalit - ? (Reserved)

Aadesh - Abhilasha tum ho sangeet ki paribhasha.
Alka - Abhilasha humko hai tumse bahut asha, zaroor poori karna woh asha warna yahaan ho jaayega tamaasha.

Agla contestant Vipul hai, woh "Likhe jo khat tujhe" gaata hai. Nicely sung though I felt that he was a bit slow (pace).

Lalit says ki "khaas nahin lagaa". Abhijeet says "tumne iss gaane ko rokar kyon gaaya?", to which Jatin replies "Isne rote rote gaaya hi nahin hai gaana" and there a bit drama and tu-tu main-main between them. Vipul reveals that he is only 16 years old (OMG aajkal ke bachche kitni jaldi bade ho rahe hain...main bhi 16 saal ka feel kar rahaa hoon )

Third contestant is Aditi, she sings "Hari Om Hari". Judges don't seem to be happy, AS can be seen saying something.

Aadesh comes on the stage and asks "Tumne kyon gaaya yeh gaana?", "tumhare genre ka nahin hai yeh song". Then Shaan says ki kal aap logo ne kahaa thaa naa ki koi light song gaaye probably bec'se of that. Then Aditi asks ki koi aur song gaaoon? Shaan asks if she can be given another chance, judges discuss a bit and asks her to sing few lines of any other song. Now Aditi seems to be crying, she can't control her. Judges ask her to take a break and sing later.

Agla contestant hai Amitabh, he sings "O Hansini"...mazaa nahin aa rahaa hai, bade thake huye style se gaa rahaa hai.

Lalit - Gaane mein dooba nahin.
Abhijeet comes on stage and tells him about his mistake in the song, and renders a few lines (wow!) himself and tells him how he should have sung it.

Next contestant is Prantik Sur, he sings "Aaja Aaja Meri Jaan Kahaa Thaa (movie?)". Bade achhey style mein gaa rahaa hai...

Abhijeet - Hats off to you! Now there are some comments about hat, hair and wig...
Lalit - Bahut achha gayaa
Jatin - Totality mein jo rang failna chahiye thaa woh faila.

Next contestant is Dipin, he sings "Mann Re Tu Kaahe Naa Dheer Dhare".

Aadesh - Saan kahaan leni hai, kahaan chhodni hai, woh sab seekhna hai tumhe abhi.

Aditi comes to the stage now and sings "Pehle Sau Baar (movie?)"

Ab results declare karne ka time aa gayaa hai. Sab contestants stage par thoda tension mein khade hain, eagerly waiting for the results.

Shaan results declare karna shuru karte hain...
